Tomoko Kakutani was born and raised in Kobe, Japan. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist (New York and Wahington State) and a Board Certified Chinese Herbalist. She has a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine), a Master's degree in Science of Education (Long Island University), and a Bachelor's degree of Science in Nutrition (Kobe Gakuin University). She is also a registered dietician approved by the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare. She had seven years of clinical experience in Seattle, WA. And now she has practiced in Manhattan, New York since February 2008.
